Welcome to the Small Business big mindset Podcast, where we dive into tactical strategies to grow your business. And to make an impact on this world. A huge part of success is keeping your mindset and vision on track. So this is a major part of our process. And this podcast. Let's do this. Hey, Erin here, welcome to the Small Business big mindset podcast. Did you notice the jingle bell addition to our intro music, we hope that you enjoyed it, you guys are enjoying your holiday season as well. So I do have one question for you guys. If you haven't started planning for the year 2021. In your business, what are you waiting for we are in the last throes of 2020. Once the holiday cheer and the clinking of those glasses begin to fade, you'll want to be in a strategic spot with your business. Okay, so ideally, your shift from time with your family and friends. When you shift that kind of mindset back into your office, whether it's home or otherwise, hopefully, it's going to be a smooth one. And it'll be led by crystal clear objectives that you've already put into place. On this week's podcast, we spoke with a dozen of our previous podcast guests to ask, what new strategy tool process or idea Are you looking forward to implementing for your business in 2021, you're not gonna want to miss it keep listening, because they all each have a different vision with equally different plans of attack as to how they're going to move their companies forward in the new year. But one common thread is they are all laser focused on actions that need to be taken to accomplish the goals they've set. As for us, our Muscle Creative umbrella of brands will be expanding. We currently have our services arm which supports SMBs with their content creation and content marketing strategy, as well as their website build out, right. So we love supporting small medium business solopreneurs with all that, in addition, in 2020, we launched our education division, which kicked off with our online business on ramp chorus. In 2021. This division will continue to grow with our content messaging, muscle up chorus, teaching business owners how to connect with their audience, improve their content marketing, and increase their follower to customer conversion ratio. On top of that, a new division will be launching that is separate from our services and education arms. But that's under wraps for now. So take a listen to your fellow entrepreneurs and what they will be focusing on as their biggest business changers in 2021. We wish everyone happy holidays and a strong business close for 2020. Hi, it's Alex from it's not complicated recipes. 2020 has, of course been a really challenging year for so many. But I'm really excited for what 2021 has to offer. And I've started working on my goals for the year ahead already. I have two main goals that I want to focus on with the business, the first one being to some continual work on mindset. And I think that's so crucial when it comes to not only business success, but personal well being. So I think that's something we can all work on all the time. And my second goal for the business specifically is to really look at repurposing old content. I think sometimes we forget about the content that we've produced previously. And it doesn't get the love and attention it deserves. And there's a lot of value to be had in older content. So my main goal will be look at how I can improve it reshare it for me, it will be taking new photos, updating information and then sharing it with my followers. I think the value that can be found in older content is important. And so for me that will be my main goal is to rather than focus on pumping out as much new content as possible is to really improve what's presently on my website and sharing that with my Raiders and wishing everyone all the best for a very happy and successful and healthy 2021 and used to good things to come. Hey there, I'm Claire Davis, founder of traction resume where we help professionals get better jobs and make more money without standing resumes, interview prep and networking systems. So I think it's probably an understatement to say we're excited for the next year to roll around 2021 hopefully brings promise and I'm looking forward to developing an offering something new for my clients and taking our coaching and our theory to the next level. So as it stands now, I do a lot of crafting professional credentials and interview and networking coaching. And next year I'm going to be offering a more VIP experience for my clients by hosting some co working sessions. This is a time where there's no waiting. There's no planning, it's all doing side by side. So while I currently teach jobseekers how to elevate their branding and get in front of hard to reach people and find that golden backdoor of jobs, so they can skip the line and get into the interview. Next year, my plan is to execute this live within a Facebook group to connect these outstanding people. And to set some time aside where we just get it done together. So I wish everyone a prosperous and fulfilling year ahead. And thank you Aaron and Muscle Creative for including me in your excellent podcast and best to you guys. Happy New Year everyone. My name is Crystal and ocwen. I'm a jewelry designer from New Orleans, Louisiana. I design minimalistic jewelry that has meaning for strong women who are soft at heart. In 2021, I am looking forward to adding a new offering into my business, which is going to be a retreat like virtual course for women, helping them get excited about life again, by discovering what really lights them up. And sort of figuring out the tools to help them get to where they want to be. So I am excited about a fresh new 2021. And looking forward to offering my customers who are used to jewelry and inspiration and motivation and women empowerment, a whole new side of myself and in this course and the community that's going to go along with it. So as many of us are sort of ready to put 2020 behind us. I am using the rest of the year to get ready for this new launch of this additional part of my business and I'm super excited at it. If you want to follow along my journey, feel free to follow me at Crystal and ocwen jewelry, on Instagram and Facebook. And you can find me on the web at crystallin oakwyn.com. Every show Lakewood elite fitness. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Our goal for 2021 is to continue the momentum we've created this year. 2020 has given us an opportunity of growth and introspection. This introspection has created a me a source of inspiration to transfer to our community. wellness, fitness, mindset and support are the themes of my company. We want to make sure that we create channels of communication for our clients to be able to fulfill those patterns that they're lacking. Whether it's nutrition, whether it's personal coaching, whether it's strength, or conditioning, it doesn't matter what your needs are, we need to meet them. I am surrounded by wonderful community and even better coaches. So that's our goal to continue to provide the lakeway Lake Travis Austin area with superb coaching, and optimal support for growth. Thank you Have a great day. This is Jamie trawl financial literacy coach and profit strategist. And I am very much looking forward to 2021 we have a lot of different things planned a lot of new things on the horizon. But the thing that I'm probably most looking forward to is really working on automating my business. I think that that is one of the things that's going to be the biggest game changer. We have a lot of room for process improvement and actually just automating things that we don't need to be doing as a team. So we're already spending time trying to figure out what is it exactly that we need to automate? What are tasks that we don't need to be doing at all and which ones can i delegate. And so the automation, I think, with all of the different tools and things that are out there now to help is going to be something that just makes a really big difference on our business and allows us to really scale in a way that we couldn't before. Hi, this is Jodi Hume and when I'm not co hosting our weekly podcast so here's my story. I am providing on call decision support for entrepreneurs and founders and leaders of companies. And what I'm really excited about for 2021 is the possibly the one small silver lining of 2020, which is I think a lot of people's awareness that planning is only one time Part of running and strategizing a business that you can plan, you can look out to the future. But at the end of the day, you need navigational support and orienting skills more than you do a map. And I've, I felt really strongly about this for a number of years. And it's why I structure my business not like most coaches, or consultants, everything I do is on call and as needed and often asynchronous with texts and phone calls as needed. And it's worked for me extremely well, and for my own little boutique sized business. But I have become more clear than ever, that the world needs this in a much broader way. And so my 2021, I am planning haha. So we'll see how this goes. I am planning to try and bring that to a much broader audience. So I'm playing around with the model, I am looking to bring on some other coaches who are good at on call, adaptive in the moment support, sometimes for just a single call. And sometimes people need more than that. But I really do fundamentally believe, you know, not to blow up the ship I'm writing on but I think most people don't need a coach or consultant, or even a therapist really, as often as they think they do. Sometimes they just need one really well done call. Hi, this is Lainey. My husband and I own what people's kitchen, we are a chef created meal delivery service. And we also do private chef events and catering. And what we're looking forward to next year is learning to be better and better use the social media ability to connect with people and get the word out about us. We've been so fortunate that people have really gotten creative with how they have very small intimate events now that we can private chef or they are having meals at home that are very special and creative is since going out isn't what it used to be and isn't permitted at times because of COVID. So we are learning that we need to find a new way to connect with new customers to our business because a lot of the festivals and events that we used to go to where we could do a booth and meet people and let them taste test our food aren't available right now. So we're looking forward to being able to connect with people in a virtual way. Hey, it's Melanie of Melanie, right photography, some of the things I'm super excited to be implementing in the new year are incorporating videos into my services. So not only shooting photos, but adding video as a component of something I offer. I intend to double down and work on my marketing and advertising. And adding a larger focus on new genres of photography, such as branding, and social media. These are all things that I think will really take my business to the next level. And with hard work, and really studying all the new things that are out there in the photography world and social media. I'm excited to get on it and see what it'll bring. Hi, this is Mindy Henderson, motivational speaker, writer health and accountability coach, and host of the truth about things that suck podcast. And in looking backwards at 2020. And what I've done this year, and looking ahead to 2021, I'm so excited because really 2020 has been about laying the foundation and getting my website buttoned up and figuring out at a high level, what my mission and my vision is for my business and for who I want to be and the services that I want to provide. And now in 21, I'm really looking forward to leveling up on everything that I've laid the foundation on. I'm working currently, with a sales and marketing consultant, we're doing some product development, I'm looking forward to creating some courses that we're currently brainstorming. So those are under development, we're going to be making those available soon. We're talking about doing masterminds and maybe making those available soon. And then you know, working from a systems perspective, to try to bring everything full circle, making my website lead to LinkedIn, which maybe leads to YouTube, which may be leads back to my website. And so getting better integrated and just giving people a better experience when they interact with any of my materials. So I hope that information is useful to you. I'm looking forward to what's to come in 2021 and I think that there's just nothing but possibilities ahead. Hello, my name is Moe pedal. I'm the owner and operator of jewboy burrs in Austin, Texas. When I look forward to 2021. For me, it's it's I'm just excited about free returns. normalcy. I realized that that's probably what everybody's saying. But I'm looking forward to seeing how how we can be the resilient community that I know we are. So far, we've been blessed to have great customers, great staff. We've only been in business for three months now. But we're showing strong sales, and we're showing the opportunity to weather the storm. So I'm excited to evolve the business. Once these challenges go away, to get into what would be considered normal challenges. I'm excited about expansion in different areas. For me, I just love having a different day every day. And even though we run a business, there's new challenges every day, new customers come in every day. So I'm just looking forward to to evolving, to evolving backwards, if that makes any sense. So we started during the pandemic, I'm looking forward to seeing how we get to exist in normal times. Good luck to everybody out there. Thank you. Hey, there, this is Salome shellack, from shine and succeed where we help online course creators, build lucrative audiences create more profitable launches, and scale their business faster with smart Facebook and Instagram ad strategies. And the process or idea that I am looking forward to most to implement in 2021 is to simplify everything, I am going to double down on what's working well, both in the agency, and inside a Lister, my online course and membership that we're launching in January or relaunching in January. And I'm just going to look at everything that is working well. And do more of that and constantly ask myself, how can we do less of the things that drain our energy, less of the things that create friction in the business, and do more of the things we love to do more of the things that feel good, more of the things that feel easy, and then create more systems to automate all of those things, and build out our customer journey in such a way that our students have an amazing experience. From the first moment, they came into contact with us all the way to becoming one of our VIPs. And then straight through to becoming clients inside the agency. So my vision really is to simplify everything so that we can help the clients create even bigger results, and build even deeper relationships with the students. And I'm hoping that will result in growth in a deeper, more long lasting why I don't just want bigger numbers, or larger number of people inside my funnels, I want the quality to improve. So I'm going to simplify and double down on what is working and that is my what I'm looking forward to in 2021. And I I'm very excited about what this new year brings. I'll see you there. Howdy, this is Wade Lombard with square cow Movers. A goal for us in 2021 is to do our best to develop our team. I know that's a little bit vague, perhaps a little broad stroke. But here's what we know. We know over the last few years, we've done our best to get the wrong people off the bus, the right people on the bus and in the into the right seats. Well, we haven't done a great job of is taking our C players and working with them step by step and creating a strategy to make them be players. How do we take those B guys and make sure that we're turning those guys into our a guys, you know, a strategy around development and making sure that everybody knows the impact they make on the organization and where they're going next is an important piece that we haven't spent enough time on an idea or solution that we're trying to do in 2021 cuz we're square cow movers and we try to do as much as we can to be branded, you know, really want to do something called tell us the good mus that's m o s, tell us the good news would be some way of projecting out and making sure not only the community, but internally, our branches and our guys on the front lines understand the good that we're trying to do in the community. You know, we spend a great deal of time as owners trying to develop relationships within the community giving back doing charitable work. What we don't do is making sure other people know about it. And they're aware of how conscious we are of our community and our environment and the things that we're doing to try to make an impact with those around us. Hey, hope everybody has a great 2021 I know we're looking forward to it as well. And let's keep it going. Thanks for tuning in to the Small Business big mindset podcast.
